There are many virtual tours and concerts that are being promoted in this time of being #AloneTogether. Click the name of each museum for a virtual tour. You can also connect to museums worldwide using the SMARTIFY app.

The Smithsonian, National Museum of Natural History virtual tours allow visitors to take an impressive self-guided, room-by-room tours of select exhibits and areas within the museum from their desktop or mobile device. Visitors can also access select collections and research areas at our satellite support and research stations as well as past exhibits no longer on display.

ART MUSEUMS

MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art, New York City: This is one of the world’s greatest art museums.  You can view a huge array of artwork up close.

Whitney Museum of Modern Art, New York City: The Whitney has a wonderful collection, including some iconic Edward Hopper paintings.

The Art Institute of Chicago. This is also a walking tour. Spatially, it’s very compelling. A great way to virtually see this awesome collection.

The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.  Not quite a true walking tour, but it’s very impressive.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This virtual tour is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with this expansive museum.

The J. Paul Getty Museum. Los Angeles, California. Here is a youtube video showing the exterior architecture.

The British Museum, London, United Kingdom. You will be invited to install an Arts & Culture app on the Home Page for a virtual tour of this museum.
