Now through August 18, The Impressionist’s Eye will be showing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Peer over the shoulder of Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, and others as they make their indelible mark on canvas, paper, and bronze. Best known as oil painters, the artists in this tight-knit group actually moved fluidly from one medium to another, supporting and inspiring one another. Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati will be exhibiting Creatures: When Species Meet through August 18. This compelling show features contemporary works of art inspired by interactions with living creatures outside of humankind.

July 26 – August 17: Girl in the Red Corner, a contemporary tale of a young woman remaking herself in the world, at Know Theatre.
August 14 – September 8: The Incline Theater presents Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a time-tested romantic comedy and Americana classic.
